7-22-18 Samut Sakhon

Hey there Dad!

First and foremost, I bet it's weird having no kids in the house for just a little while. It's ok though. You won't have to worry about me moving out. I'll just be at home with a good job forever... Hahaha

But to the next point: why in the world is Kai going to Japan? That's the first I ever heard about this. When was this planned out, why is he going, and what will he be doing there? At this rate Kai's going to be sent to Japan on his mission... Hahaha Maybe he will see someone that I met while I was on my mission, but that depends on if he goes to their area. She's missionary serving in Fukuoka so the probably the chances aren't super high... Oh well!

By the way where is Elder Nishimoto (Talmage) serving? What part of Japan?

Anyways, that's it for that part. I hope you're doing well with all the adjusting. If you do become Ward Mission Leader, everything that missionaries expect of you is in Preach My Gospel Chapter 13. In there is everything we expect of a Ward Mission Leader... Anything else is given by the bishop and revelation.

This week we had our investigator be confirmed! She's way cool. Sister James, the older one who we sent a picture of last week. Her mom also has started to learn as well! But Sister James is way cool. Story about her Mom: her mom didn't really want to learn before, but then she tried to strike up a deal with heaven that if she won, even a little bit, in the lottery, she would start to learn about Christianity. And she won. So now she's learning. I would never encourage this approach at home but... She's learning now so I guess it's all past now. Good though, except that she can't read. So we'll have to figure that one out.

We also had Zone Conference which was way good! We focused a lot on the Atonement and understanding the Atonement it and helping our investigators understand as well. President also reemphasized the fact that we need to talk with not to people. We need to find and address their needs and bear testimony on how the Gospel can help our families or whatever problem they have.

Other than that we've been getting a lot of referrals and seeing lots of miracles. We also had Sports Day and we got to play 🏐 Volleyball at Stake Sports Day so that was way awesome. I was really happy to play again.

Other than that life is good, life is good. Remember that planning is important. In a talk called "Return and Receive" by President Ballard, he talked about this, telling us that goals are destinations and plans are how we get there, sometimes followed by landmarks we pick out. We need to plan well. In Abraham and Moses we learn that God planned before. We know that planning is a spiritual creation of success beforehand. It is an exercise of faith. We should and need to do so. Then take the next step of faith and act. We will and should see miracles this way. Plan all aspects of life! Things that are important and we will see success.

Love you all so much! Take care and I'll talk to you soon!
